Chicago P.D. sergeant Rocco Alioto revealed Thursday that the department opened an internal investigation to find out who was behind the leaks to the media in the Empire actor's investigation.
The investigation into the alleged attack ofJussie Smollett was still ongoing.
Apparently, there has been an enormous amount of "inaccurate" information, and the organization wants to know who is putting it out there.
This news comes on the heels of another investigation at Northwestern Memorial Hospital where dozens of workers may have been terminated for "improperly reviewing the medical records" of the Empire actor, just so they could sneak a peak at his medical chart.
CBS Chicago reports that one of the nurses says it was a misunderstanding, as she never reviewed Smollett's chart; however she was sacked last week.
The nurse said she was called in at the end of her shift last Tuesday, fired on the spot and escorted out of the hospital.

Smollett went to Northwestern Memorial Hospital on January 29 for treatment after what he claimed was an assault perpetrated by two men spewing hateful comments and placing a rope around his neck.
The actor was arrested on February 21 and charged with filing a false police report after detectives said he staged the hoax hate crime attack to boost his fame because he was unhappy with his salary on the show. The Nigerian brothers, Abel and Ola Osundairo, denied sending the letter. The judge granted a $100,000 bail, and Smollett paid a $10,000 bond.
TMZ also reported, "We're told authorities are trying to determine if the pages have the lettering found in the letter".
When Smollett wrote the alleged check for $3500 days before the "attack", the memo line allegedly read, "5 weeks training nutrition plan".
This isn't the only drama happening today related to information about Jussie Smollett.
