There are many unanswered questions involving the disappearance of a Sydney dentist and how she ended up dead in a suitcase just days later.
Police found the body of Dr Preethi Reddy (32), in a suitcase in her vehicle.
Police have found the body of a missing woman found stuffed in a suitcase in the back of a vehicle in Sydney's south-west, following a public appeal. She had been stabbed "numerous times", officers said. There are talks that Preethi stayed in a hotel in Market Street in Sydney on Sunday with a man.
Dr Reddy told Narde she had "moved on" and meant to "start a new life" with her new boyfriend, according to a police source.
Police spoke with Dr Narde about Dr Reddy's disappearance before he died on the New England Highway at Willow Tree on Monday night.
"I can not qualify exactly what has happened and I won't put it out there because if we're wrong and it's not substantiated then we're doing a disservice to Preethi and her family", Detective Superintendent Gavin Dengate told the ABC News.
She told them that she would head home after breakfast, and when she failed to return, her family contacted police.
She was captured on CCTV inside McDonald's at the Strand Arcade in Sydney's CBD about 4.15am on Sunday and appeared to leave alone.
The ex-boyfriend of Sydney dentist Preethi Reddy didn't have a violent history that suggested he was capable of committing the obsessive attack which killed the "bright" young woman.
He said telling Dr Reddy's parents of her death is the "toughest thing you can ever do".
A colleague who attended the dental conference said he last saw the pair talking in the hotel lobby after the event.
Hurstville Dental & Physio Centre manager Dave Vagadia told news.com.au that Dr Reddy worked at the surgery as a dentist for about five months until March 2018.
"They just asked about our details and then asked some questions about the vehicle, so we have heard of something odd about the auto, some chatters, some people", she said.
"Glenbrook Dental Surgery staff are in mourning to hear the sad news about Preethi Reddy", the post read. "I spoke to her last Thursday and it was "see you next week" and completely normal", she said adding "Now I am just praying she will be found", Holmes said.
