Babatunde Ositelu, presidential candidate of the Accord Party (AP), says the circumstances that led to the use of hired helicopter by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo should be probed and explained to the public.
He posted: "We are safe and sound!" "Thank you to everyone who has expressed concern and thank you to the crew who managed the situation well", he wrote on Twitter.
Josiah Choms, an executive at the Lagos-based firm, said Osinbajo was being conveyed in an Augusta AW139 chopper when it lost control as it was about to touch down at about 3:00 p.m.in Kabba, Kogi State.
"As is procedural, a full investigation into the causes of the incident would be conducted by aviation authorities", the spokesperson said.
Not long after Vice President Yemi Osinbajo escaped injury when his helicopter crash-landed in Kogi State, he continued with his campaigns in the state.
