The XFL is returning to the Meadowlands.
The XFL, a new professional football league backed by WWE CEO Vince McMahon, on Wednesday unveiled the inaugural eight cities and stadiums that will host its teams when play begins in 2020.
No name for the Seattle team has been released, and other details such as how much tickets would cost weren't immediately available. While one of the main complaints about the first incarnation of the XFL was the poor quality of play, Luck appeared optimistic about attracting talented players to fill the rosters.
The cities and stadiums are Dallas (Globe Life Park), Houston (TDECU Stadium), Los Angeles (StubHub Center), St. Louis (The Dome at America's Center), Seattle (CenturyLink Field), Tampa (Raymond James Stadium), New York (MetLife Stadium) and Washington, D.C. (Audi Field).
The XFL will launch in 2020 on February 8 and 9, which is the weekend after Super Bowl LIV.

Giants Stadium was home to the New York/New Jersey Hitmen of the original XFL. McMahon, the owner and chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment, announced plans to revive the league last January.
McMahon said there will be more innovative and exciting play.
Whatever the answers to those questions might prove to be, there's a more important one for football fans on this side of the border: what does all of this mean for the Canadian Football League? Luck said. "It's a game that's fast-paced, high-octane, up-tempo, with a great rhythm, a great flow, with fewer stoppages in play". The XFL will also establish a health, wellness and safety program that meets the needs of today's athletes.
Commissioner Luck emphasized that they are committed to "listening to the fans" and keeping each game well under three hours. The league is to be considered a complement to the NFL rather than a competitor, designed and sold as a way to give football fans year-round entertainment.
