Migrants who walked and hitchhiked for two months through Central America and Mexico are now faced with dire living conditions and a lengthy US asylum process. There, documents indicated that one of the men had been recently released from prison in Honduras after serving 10 years for homicide and three years for robbery.
Border officials said 29-year-old Jose Villalobos-Jobel, of Honduras, told agents he had traveled to the US border within the migrant caravan group as well. He also admitted to traveling with the migrant caravan from Central America.
After further investigation, it was discovered the illegal alien was in Honduran prison for almost two decades after being convicted of murder.
Two of the arrested migrants had been referred to the Department of Justice for prosecution, but US Customs and Border Patrol later asked the DOJ to drop the charges, an administration official told CNN.
"On Nov. 24th, around 11 P.M., agents detected three people crossing the border illegally approximately one-mile east of the San Ysidro port of entry".

Three US Service Members Killed In Afghanistan By IED Blast
The U.S. military involvement began within weeks of the September 11, 2001, terror attacks. The Taliban claimed the attack, saying a USA tank was completely destroyed.
That didn't turn out to be the case; it appears numerous members of the "migrant caravan" were sold a bill of goods, and are just coming to realize that crossing the border will be much more hard than they imagined, particularly in light of the weekend's violence.
The 29-year-old Honduran citizen "confirmed his story of his gang involvement and intent on entering the United States illegally", the CBP wrote.
"As President [Donald] Trump and Secretary [Kirstjen] Nielsen warned, over the last few weeks we have identified over 600 known criminals and gang members in the caravan".
"We are now predictably seeing members of the caravan - which includes criminals - show up at the border and claim asylum", it also said in the statement. The fact that Border Patrol arrested a murderer within the first caravan-related apprehensions at our southern border proves how real the threat of the caravan is to our national security and public safety.
