Knickers is a Holstein-Friesian, a dairy breed known for being quite tall. Despite other members of Knickers's herd being sent to the slaughterhouse, Pearson said he chose to let Knickers stay on the feedlot as "he's not hurting anyone".
"We knew that he was always going to grow into a big steer, but we never realised he'd get this big", Mr Pearson told Today Tonight.
"So his name was bra.so we (had) bra and knickers".
Knickers was originally purchased for AU$400 to act as a "coach" for other cattle.
"Whenever he wants to get up and start walking, there's a trail of hundreds of cattle following him".
