The Samsung Galaxy Watch was just announced at the latest Samsung Unpacked event in NY, but we don't now have an exact release date or a price. Those who switch to Xfinity Mobile and buy a new Note 9 can get $300 in a prepaid debit card.
The new and improved S Pen stylus, a selling point of the Note series, now connects to the phone via Bluetooth so that it can also be used away from the device, for activating the camera shutter or similar.
Samsung discusses the camera in some detail in its press release but it wasn't featured very highly in the Unpacked presentation.
The strap colors for this model are black, grey, red yellow, purple, beige or brown, plus you can use other 22mm straps if you don't fancy the colors directly from Samsung. The device will also work with Spotify for streaming music as part of Samsung's new partnership with Spotify.
The mostly matte metal frame also gets a diamond cut treatment, so you'll see a shiny metal finish at the surrounding area where the metal meets the glass. The 512 GB Galaxy Note 9 with 8 GB of RAM will cost $1,300.

Samsung launched the Note 9 at 11 a.m.in NY on Thursday, or Friday midnight in Seoul.
Samsung's latest Galaxy Note has arrived.
Bixby may have negative value for Samsung, says one analyst, as it is "hopelessly outclassed" even by Apple's Siri. The 512GB Model is also available for $1,249.99 or $30 a month for 24 months ($529.99 down). If Epic were to just open the floodgates to every potential mobile player, it'd be too much to handle. There's been speculation - unconfirmed by Apple - that all new iPhones will ditch the home button and fingerprint sensor and rely entirely on facial-recognition technology found in the iPhone X. The Note 9 will still have a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone.
A new stylus called the S Pen is this year's highlight upgrade. We can estimate the price as the Samsung Gear S3 cost $349/£349 (around AU$475) - we expect the Galaxy Watch to be around that. There's an AMOLED screen on the watch, although we don't now know the screen size for either watch, or the resolution.
With up to 8GB of RAM and the Exynos 9 CPU, the Note 9 comes tooled for the level of processing necessary for gaming, and Samsung will be keen to make the most of partnering with Fortnite developers Epic Games. And Samsung also teased its first Bixby-powered home speaker, Galaxy Home, a distinctive tripod design that resembles a hipster barbecue.
