Kiir said he will sign the Khartoum peace deal after holding talks with the visiting Sudanese Foreign Minister Al-Dirdiri Mohammed Ahmed in Juba in wake of the government and the opposition groups inking the preliminary power-sharing deal in late July.
As part of the IGAD-led comprehensive peace process, President Kenyatta is expected to convene the third session of the face-to-face meetings and negotiations between President Salva Kiir and Dr. Riek Machar during which the implementation mechanisms of the peace accord are expected to be agreed upon.
"Today, I offer you the promise of the people of Kenya to continue walking with you from this moment of great expectation to the full implementation of a Revitalised Agreement", Uhuru said.
A power-sharing deal will end civil war that has killed tens of thousands of people and displaced millions in the world's youngest country.
South Sudan's civil war erupted in December 2013 between supporters of Kiir and his then-deputy Machar.
He disclosed that both sides signed the 2015 peace agreement amid multiple reservations besides intimidation from the global community but expressed hope of successful peace this time with mediation efforts by Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir backed by leaders under the East African bloc IGAD.

Political analyst, Ayesha Kajee believes both leaders need to learn from South Sudan's violent past.
