And while Ant-Man and the Wasp may be Marvel's tiniest heroes, the Ant-Man and the Wasp end-credits scene is probably the cinematic universe's most anticipated in years. A second post-credits scene implies San Francisco, Ant-Man's home base, is particularly hard-hit by Thanos' snap.
The film starts in the run-up to Avengers: Infinity War and then takes place in tandem, with Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly returning as the two titular heroes alongside Michael Douglas as Hank Pym and Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne. But the Ant-Man and the Wasp end-credits scene does take place at the same time as Infinity War and answers the question of where Ant-Man was during the battle against Thanos - if not questions about how the Avengers plan to bring back their fallen compatriots. At a time when superhero cinema seems eager to test the limits of its dramatic stakes, here's a reminder that smaller stories can be just as satisfying.
As you all know, Infinity War ends with Thanos snapping his fingers and erasing half of the universe's population.
This movie does have some hints that provide links to Avengers 4, with one of the fan theories being not so subtly confirmed.

Meanwhile, Scott is now stuck in the quantum realm until Feige only knows when. and if we've learned anything from Janet, it's that staying down there can do weird things to a person.
In that post-movie tease, Scott Lang enters the Quantum Realm in order to collect healing particles to help Ghost, but gets stranded down there after Hank Pym, Hope van Dyne and Janet van Dyne are blinked out of existence.
Director Peyton Reed told TheWrap that in figuring out what the Quantum Realm could be and where it could lead, he realized the possibilities were endless. Set photos have shown Scott with Captain America and Iron Man, so it's safe to assume he will escape the Quantum Realm in time to save the universe in the next movie.
It's also worth considering that the Quantum Realm may have literally been out of reach of Thanos's snap all together, and thus, in one way or another, immune to the Infinity Stones' powers. DC's latest Superman films were so dark and somber that they are a punchline in the genre - a relative nightmare for Marvel's greatest competitor - and the rousing success of "Wonder Woman" has thus far not been enough to completely undo those miscues.
