U.S. President Donald Trump sought an apology on Thursday from the executive behind ABC's cancellation of sitcom "Roseanne" over the comedian's racist tweet, citing critical coverage in the network's news reporting on him.
Trump wrote that Iger never called him to apologize for "the frightful statements" that have been said about him on ABC.
On Barr having a history of this kind of attitude: "This monkey thing is something she's tweeted before about black people".
"I am exhausted of being smeared-over a stupid mistake erasing 30 yrs of activism", she wrote.
But the drug's manufacturer, Sanofi, said in a statement: "While all pharmaceutical treatments have side effects, racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication".
Barr also blamed her offending tweet on a popular sleeping pill.
The actor did not seem concerned about missing out on the Emmy's this year either, claiming that he has "been up there  times already, and if I didn't get one I'm not gonna get one".

He also added that he's been "baffled" by Barr's continued affiliation with Donald Trump, who called to congratulate her on Roseanne's massive ratings when it premiered.

In one of the tweets that sparked outrage, she wrote, "Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj". On Tuesday afternoon, ABC announced the cancellation of the program.
Jarrett has since stressed that Barr's remarks should be seen as "a teaching moment".
"It's not that I disrespect you guys, I just - I would rather say nothing than to cause more trouble", Goodman said in a video obtained by Entertainment Tonight via paparazzi firm The Mega Agency.
"I end by offering everyone involved one more apology and prayers for healing of our divided nation", Barr wrote. "I apologize from the bottom of my heart and hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive me".
