No North Carolina stores were named among the group of closures this time, according to a list the company released Thursday afternoon.

In Washington state, Redmond, Shoreline, Chehalis and Federal Way are among those to lose their Sears' stores this year, along with the Chehalis Kmart. After the just-announced closings, that number will shrink to roughly 820. And the retailer says it will continue to evaluate its network of stores, and will make further adjustments as needed and as warranted. The company had 3,555 stores across the country in 2010, and now has fewer than 900. In Central Illinois, the only Sears store closing is in Springfield's White Oaks Mall.

Chattanooga, Tenn. -based CBL Properties, which owns the mall, said earlier Thursday that it did not expect the mall store to be affected.
