The surf kicks up in Panama City, Fla., as Subtropical Storm Alberto approaches, Monday, May 28, 2018.
After hitting the Florida coast, Alberto is expected to now head further northwest and pass over Alabama, Georgia and MS before reaching Nashville, in Tennessee. This means that our rain chances and winds will decrease.at least for the night.
Alberto had weakened to a subtropical depression Monday but almost 30 million people in parts of Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and Kentucky were still under flash flood watches for much of Tuesday. Since 1964, the club has been a popular spot among blues musicians and enthusiasts.
Photos posted by owner Gary Anton show large sections of the club's ceiling collapsed. The amount of crude that leaked was unknown but government media said 12,000 cubic meters of contaminated wastewater have leaked since Monday.
The storm is also threatening the southeast with flooding as it predicted to spread moistures across the region as the week progresses. It was not clear how many people were affected by the evacuation order.
Alberto also interrupted Memorial Day plans in Alabama, Florida and MS as it moved in the southeast.
In south Alabama near the Florida line, the city of Andalusia reopened its roads after ordering residents to stay off streets overnight because of flash flooding and downed trees and power lines. At one point Alabama Power reported 28,000 customers without service, majority in Jefferson and Shelby counties.

Soil is saturated by rainwater, and winds blowing 25 miles per hour with higher gusts are topping trees.
Among other things, it has left 25,000 people in Alabama without power.
The remnants of Subtropical Storm Alberto are on the move northward, and will bring a day of showers from Wednesday evening through Thursday to our area.
But while forecasters said the subtropical depression could dump as much as 6 inches of rain inland, few major problems were reported so far.
Rain chances also return to normal in the panhandle, as Alberto's remnant moisture moves even farther to the north and east and only spotty afternoon showers are expected.
Forecasters downgraded Alberto to a still-dangerous depression Monday evening, warning heavy rains and an accompanying flood threat would continue in the aftermath of the storm's landfall in the Florida Panhandle.
Alberto is pushing deeper inland after making landfall in the Florida Panhandle on Memorial Day, causing flash flooding, mudslides, downed trees and power outages through parts of the South, East and central US and prompting officials to warn of an imminent dam failure in North Carolina.
