Two police officers in Dallas are in critical condition after a shooting near a Home Depot, authorities say. His or her condition is unknown at this time. He surrendered and was taken into custody just after 9 p.m. after leading police on a risky, high-speed chase through Downtown Dallas.
The man fled in a white pickup, she said.
The two wounded Dallas officers were called to the Home Depot at US 75 and Forest Lane about 4 p.m., when an off-duty Dallas police officer working at the store was trying to arrest a suspect.
Two additional on duty officers responded to the scene and at one point the suspect pulled a gun and shot each officer in the head.
The shooting happened about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday outside the store in northern Dallas.
