Battlefront 2015 released alongside Star Wars: The Force Awakens and still managed to sell over 14 million copies worldwide. However, Jorgensen's comments do confirm that EA is at least planning one more game in the franchise, which may come as a surprise given just how severe the backlash was for Battlefront 2. Even with 1 to 3 million more copies expected to sell before the end of the fiscal year, Battlefront 2 is still set to sell well under its predecessor.
EA also launched its Need for Speed game during the quarter, and it had similar loot box issues. If you compare these figures to the first Star Wars Battlefront, the game passed fourteen million sales by March 2016.
EA shares have lagged the market in recent months due to investor worries for its "Star Wars" title's sales, following outrage over the game's initial monetization strategy.
"We're committed to continually working with our players to deliver the right experience in each of our games and live services, ' said Jorgensen, while adding that Battlefront II's development was something of a 'learning opportunity" for the company. "So we removed the feature that was taking away from what fans were telling us was an otherwise great game".
"We shouldn't believe everything that we read in the press.""We're at a point where, when we make the decision that we have the right model for players and our community, I have no doubt that we will get the support of Disney on that".

USA concern about reports of chlorine gas use in Syria
Yet Syria's government isn't the only chemical weapons threat in the region, according to the officials. Senior US officials claimed the Syrian government may be developing new types of chemical weapons.
Unsurprisingly, revenue is also down, although this can be attributed to the publisher removing microtransactions, including in-game currency and loot boxes, following an infamous bout with fans on Reddit.
Jorgensen concluded by mentioning that EA doesn't believe that loot boxes or similar mechanics are a form of gambling, and there are plenty of governments around the world that agree with that.
The controversy reportedly hurt relations between EA and Star Wars licensor Disney.
At the moment there's no hard date on when the microtransactions will be returning to the game, or whether they'll be retooled to take player criticisms and feedback into account.
