Johan Lundgren, who stepped into the role in December 2017, has chopped his salary by £34,000 - $AUD 59,000 - in order to allow "equal opportunities" for the budget airline company.

Having recognised the imbalance, EasyJet launched its Amy Johnson Initiative three years ago to encourage more women to become pilots, setting a target for 20% of new pilots to be female by 2020, up from just 6% in 2015. EasyJet has already gone beyond or airlines in trying to attract more women pilots in aviation world. In all or respects, including bonuses, your remuneration package will be identical to McCall's.
