Ford Motor Co decided that they will significantly increase their planned investments in electric vehicles to $11bn by 2022 and have 40 hybrid and fully electric vehicles in its model line-up.
"The 11 billion you're seeing means we're all-in now", Ford told reporters, adding that the only question is whether the customers will be there with them.
Ford has said that the focus will be on creating electric versions of now existing models, although did not rule out new models on the way.
