The winter session is traditionally convened in the third week of November and lasts until the third week of December. The session will be held from December 15 to January 5.
The much-awaited winter session of Parliament will soon commence on 15 December, that is a day after the polling phase in Gujarat assembly ends and shall continue until 5 January.
Finance minister Arun Jaitley earlier told journalists that the session would not overlap with the Gujarat assembly elections and it would be a "regular" session.
"Certainly, the winter session will be held and it will be a regular session".
