Bridgewater's lengthy recovery from a severe non-contact injury to his left knee suffered in training camp last August has finally reached its conclusion, with the Vikings bringing him back to the active roster after he endured no setbacks during practice the last three weeks.
The Vikings acquired Bradford via trade on September 3, 2016, and he suited up in Purple for the first time against Green Bay in Week 2.
Head coach Mike Zimmer declared Case Keenum the Vikings starter for Sunday's game in Washington.
Zimmer said "no one knows" when asked if Bradford will play again.
For the first half of the season, it was a question almost each week whether Bradford would be healthy enough to start or if backup Case Keenum would get the call.

Bridgewater, whom the Vikings selected in the first round of the 2015 draft, has not played since the 2015 playoffs.

Bradford was the stopgap once Bridgewater went down last summer, starting 15 games and throwing for 3,877 yards while completing 71.6 percent of his passing attempts with 20 touchdowns against five interceptions.
"Whether or not it's Sam or Teddy or whoever else, I've been prepared for these types of situations", Keenum said of the uncertainty of the team's week-to-week decisions on the starter.
