Production of award-winning House Of Cards sixth season has been suspended indefinitely in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations against its star Kevin Spacey, Netflix announced on Tuesday (Oct 31).
Yesterday the companies announced that the sixth season would be the last for the series, which was now in production in Baltimore.
Executives from Netflix and the production company, MRC, flew to Baltimore yesterday where the show is in production to "meet with [the] cast and crew to ensure that they continue to feel safe and supported". Students also had access to a 47-page downloadable workbook and select members had the opportunity to have Spacey critique their performances in videos uploaded to the site.
The group says "it will not honor Kevin Spacey with the 2017 International Emmy Founders Award", which is to honor "an individual who crosses cultural boundaries to touch humanity".
