Earlier this year, the director said he meant to make a "full-fledged horror movie set within the X-Men universe" - and judging from the freaky first trailer for The New Mutants, he was true to his word. The "X-Men" spin-off centers on five mutants forced into a secret facility. But that's The New Mutants for you. The series would run for 100 issues an eventually lead to X-Force, another project on the slate from the Fox franchise.
