Regulators said it denied the license because Uber's "approach and conduct demonstrate a lack of corporate responsibility". They have let down their drivers and customers by failing, in the view of TfL, to act as a fit and proper operator.
A petition organised by Uber against London's decision not to renew its operating licence gathered more than 500,000 signatures yesterday, a day after the decision was announced.
