The highly-anticipated Mercedes-Benz X-Class ute has finally been unveiled in production form, ahead of its Australian introduction in 2018.
Heavily based on the Nissan Navara and the incoming Renault Alaskan pick-up - the result of Mercedes sharing parts with the two manufacturers - the X-Class was revealed last night in Cape Town, South Africa.
Check out the full reveal at the link below.
The X-class will be available in three model variants. On the Pure the bumpers are unpainted, while on the Progressive and Power they are body-colour. While the rear-wheel drive setup will be standard, switchable all-wheel drive 4MATIC system with low-range gearing and optional locking rear differential will also be offered.
Those looking to put the vehicle to work can expect a 3.5 tonne towing capacity and a 1,000kg maximum payload. Braked tow rating is 3.5 tonnes, which is even more beer. Entry-level models have black fabric seats but higher-end variants can be ordered with leather upholstery.

In Washington or Elsewhere, Kirk Cousins Is Going to Make NFL History
If he does not end up back in Washington , the most likely destination for Cousins might be the San Francisco 49ers . I've seen it now successfully run with Matt Ryan and I just believe Kyle adapts his scheme to the players he has.
Some OnePlus 5 Owners Plagued By Rebooting Bug When Dialing 911
It is not clear what is causing the reboot, with OnePlus talking to affected customers to try and identify the issue. Apparently, the phone is blocking any emergency line using the GPS system to provide location data to the operator.
Mercedes X-Class will come in three trim levels, or model variants, created to suit different lifestyles, the company said Tuesday. The X200 d will have a 2.3 liter turbo diesel engine offering 163 PS power and the X250 d will get a biturbo diesel capable of 190 PS power.
The top-of-the-range will be a six-cylinder diesel called the X 350 d rated at 255 HP and 405 lb-ft of torque.
Inside there's leather interior as an option and a 8.4-inch infotainment system carried over from the V-Class with Garmin sat nav built in.
The X-Class is built upon a ladder-type frame, rear multi-link solid axle, front independent wheel suspension and coil springs on both axles, all of which are shared with its Nissan Navara donor vehicle. This version will be the only X-class with permanent four-wheel drive; all others come with an electronically engaging four-wheel-drive system that offers a rear-drive mode.
The pickup also has driver assistance safety systems such as lane-keep assist, traffic sign recognition and automatic emergency braking as well as access to the brand's internet connected vehicle services. The X-Class will be available with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic (G-TRONIC PLUS), depending on the specific model.
