Illinois State Police said Hughes' pickup was traveling on a road in central Illinois when the driver crossed railroad tracks marked with a warning.
White said he's been in contact with Hughes' family, and that they are now en route to the medical facility where the 43-year-old was taken.
"Apparently he has head trauma", White told ESPN's Brett Okamoto earlier today. It's not clear exactly what state he is in, but his family is headed to meet him, per White.
