Former Portland Trail Blazers guard Sebastian Telfair was reportedly arrested on Sunday in NY after officers found him and another man parked illegally in a truck in Brooklyn.
Officers say they found three loaded pistols, a gas-operated submachine gun, extended magazines, ammunition and a bullet-proof vest. Two bags of marijuana and a burning marijuana cigarette were also allegedly found in the 2017 Ford F-150 pickup with Florida plates. Officers then smelled marijuana during the stop and saw a smoldering joint inside the vehicle.
Telfair, 32, was arrested along with another man in Brooklyn.
Their lawyers claimed that Telfair had legally purchased the weapons in Florida, where he now lives.
