One major sticking point for consumers may be the HomePod's $350 price tag, which makes it twice as expensive as Amazon's Echo. By "dancing with one who brought them" in iOS and augmenting their home strategy with a premium-priced smart speaker/virtual assistant for the home with HomePod, Apple now at least has a strategy to do battle with Echo, even if their new smart speaker is priced out of reach for some consumers. This new breed of speaker presents a tantalizing future powered by voice, where computing is not tied to a screen. By saying, "Hey Siri, I like this song", HomePod and Apple Music become the musicologist, learning preferences from hundreds of genres and moods, across tens of thousands of playlists, and these music tastes are shared across devices. Siri can be activated using the command "Hey, Siri".
There is a bunch to break down here, including the HomePod compares to Amazon's Echo, but let's first look at what exactly Apple introduced. Apple says that it upgraded the artificial intelligence capacity of Siri and furnished the HomePod with extra features to enhance the interactive experience. Yet Apple gadgets tend to function best within the Apple ecosystem, and Apple was quiet about whether or not the HomePod would work with third-party apps like the Echo does.
However, Adam Scott from comparison service PriceSpy said Apple's "late" arrival to the smart speaker market could prove an advantage.
HomePod can adjust its sound based on its location in a room. This will build multiroom audio through iOS so that content may sent to any room with forthcoming AirPlay2 compatible AirPlay speakers or Apple TVs.
Easy setup that is as intuitive as setting up AirPods - simply hold an iPhone next to HomePod and it's ready to start playing music in seconds.

An upgrade with USB-C ports and better graphics (four to six monitors would be nice) and a faster processor could be in the works. The MacBook Air has also seen some upgrades in the processor department with Apple fitting a 1.8 GHz processor into it.

Uber dismisses over 20 employees after law firm's probe
Bozoma Saint John , the former head of marketing for iTunes and Apple Music will join the company as its chief branding officer. Leader of the investigation , Bobbie Wilson at Perkins Coie stated, "We were very dogged about the investigation".
Apple takes a step beyond basic speaker hardware, though. "It's like cars. What you like in terms of the bass response, someone else may hate because they listen to classical music and focus on the treble". Making the most of it will require a subscription to Apple's own music streaming service, which runs $10 to $15 per month and has attracted 27 million subscribers so far.
The introduction of a high-quality smart speaker from Apple puts some serious pressure on Sonos, an early leader in the connected speaker market.
Apple Inc.'s first major new product for two years, the HomePod speaker, marks the biggest effort yet from the technology company to use its Siri digital assistant to keep customers wedded to a growing palette of products and services. However, Apple believes that difference serves an important goal.
A notable absence from the list of initial partners was Sonos, a company that nearly single-handedly created the wireless multiroom audio category. Here's what you should know if you want to get your hands on Apple's new smart speaker system. But the real competition between Apple, Google and Amazon in smart speakers may come down to the quality of their intelligent assistants.
Either way, the HomePod has been announced and arrives later this year.
The Echo, released in 2015, and Google Home, released previous year, were the first entrants in a promising market.
