Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati had also claimed EVM tampering was the reason for the BJP's resounding victory in the recently held Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
The Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday dismissed the Aam Aadmi Party's bid to cast aspersions on credibility of the electronic voting machine (EVM) through a demonstration in the Delhi Assembly, reports DHNS from New Delhi.
AAP MLA and computer engineer Saurabh Bhardwaj carried out the demonstration, insisting that the BJP has been gaining due to EVM rigging. The ECI had however said that the machines can not be rigged. Neither Bharadwaj nor the Chief Minister who was present during the entire debate or any other AAP member spoke on the bribery charges.
