All of the injured passengers were taken to hospital with injuries of varying severity - mostly bruises and fractures - while Aeroflot said that reports that passengers suffered compression fractures of the spine were "untrue and completely refuted by doctors".
The Airport Authority of Thailand said in a press release that 30 passengers had been injured during the flight with 27 individuals transferred to Samitivej Srinakarin hospital in Bangkok, while three chose to seek their own treatment.
The plane, on flight SU 270, was struck with turbulence some 40 minutes before landing on Monday, according to TASS.
